Every supervisory relationship I hold is grounded in two frameworks that I believe belong together: the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Buddhist Psychology.
UDL means supervision is built around how you learn, not a fixed template you have to fit yourself into. Multiple means of engagement, representation, and expression aren't accommodations; they're the design.
Buddhist Psychology brings impermanence, non-attachment, and compassionate awareness into the clinical frame, for your clients and for you. We hold the work lightly without holding it carelessly.

Supervision structured around your learning style, not a one-size-fits-all model. Flexible engagement, multiple modalities, and a pace that serves your development.
Buddhist Psychology
Mindfulness, impermanence, and compassionate non-attachment as clinical tools, for working with clients and for sustaining yourself in the work.

Florida Licensing
What supervision looks like in Florida.
Supervision requirements are set by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling (FL MFT Board). All formats I offer (individual, group, and direct observation) are designed to meet your board's requirements while going well beyond the minimum.

Florida MFT licensure requirements
Pre-licensed title: Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern
- Experience
- Two years post-master's, including 1,500 hours of face-to-face psychotherapy
- Supervision
- 100 hours over at least 100 weeks
- Registration
- Expires 60 months after issue
- Other requirements
- Laws and rules, HIV/AIDS, and domestic violence coursework, plus the national MFT exam
- Video supervision
- Electronic supervision is allowed. The rule has required at least half of supervision interactions in person unless the supervisor determines electronic supervision will not harm the intern's clients. A 2026 amendment changed related language, so check the current rule.
- Supervisor requirements
- Supervisors must be board-approved qualified supervisors before supervising any registered intern. AAMFT Approved Supervisor status satisfies the supervision-training part of that approval (64B4-11.007).
